the Frame Rate Curse
Frame rate takes the blame. Ever since the inception of televisions and
the emergence of the idea of the home theater there has been one teeny,
tiny barrier to achieving truly cinema-rivaling video at home. No
matter how simply stupendous your home theater system might have been,
nothing could overcome the frame rate curse. Curious? Well, the movies
you enjoy in the theater are filmed at a 24 frames-per-second rate,
while your TV at home plays them back at 30 or 60fps. Because 24 does
not equal 30 nor 60 (nor is it a multiple thereof), your TV has always
had to repeat certain frames — in a process known as 3:2
pulldown — delivering a potentially jittery video picture.

from 60 to 120 frames per second without repeating the same image to
make more frames. (120 is a multiple of 24, 30 and 60, so the 24 frame
rate can be easily, seamlessly reproduced at the 120 rate). The LNT4669
intelligently calculates the 'middle' image between frame A and frame B
and inserts it in between, making a fluid transition from one frame to
the next. In addition, Samsung's innovative DNIe™ Digital
Natural Image Engine delivers a crisp, lifelike picture that is closer

WISELINK USB (USB 2.0) connection featured on the LNT4669, you can
listen to MP3s or display photo/image files from your digital camera by
transferring them to the LNT4669 on a USB memory stick. An added

times faster than the speed of USB 1.1.
