wih an optical light sensor that provides automated adjustment of the
picture in both varying light conditions and by program content.

to eliminate motion judder in 3:2 pulldown (60Hz), thus providing

For All, And All For Sound: SRS® WOW™
Like the Three Musketeers of sound, the three separate sound expanding
systems integrated in the PDP5010FD's SRS® WOW®
technology brandish their arms to provide you with the ultimate in
sound without requiring additional speakers. The three systems (which
work together to extract "buried" highs and lows) are the SRS®
3D, TruBass®, and FOCUS®. SRS 3D creates a three
dimensional sound field from just two speakers, thus giving you the
feeling of hearing a multi speaker surround sound system. TruBass
produces a powerful, yet low, frequency sound by utilizing a process
called psychoacoustics. From only two small speakers, TruBass will give
the effect of an expensive sub woofer that will leave you amazed by the
quality of the sound. FOCUS was added to direct the energy from the
speakers of the television set in a vertical direction up towards your
ears. The addition of FOCUS means that there is virtually no loss of
sound from the speaker's position on the bottom panel near the floor,
which achieves a clear, undistorted range of audio. So, what's the big
deal? Oh, just a more enveloping sound with enhanced bass and better
dialog reproduction. That's all.

Pioneer's PDP5010FD features 4 HDMI v1.3 connections with HDCP. HDMI
(High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the only interface in
consumer electronics that can carry both uncompressed high-definition
(HD) video and uncompressed multi-channel audio in all HD formats
including 720p, 1080i and even 1080p. Your incoming media content comes
in a variety of sizes, resolutions and formats, and with that in mind,
HDMI systems automatically configure to display that content in the
most effective format. Since HDMI carries all channels on video and
audio, there is only one cable to plug into any HDMI-enabled source and
display device. No more complicated cable set-up when installing your
home theater system, and no more ugly cable mess behind your
components. HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video,
plus multi-channel digital audio on this single cable. Also, HDMI is
fully backward-compatible with DVI.
