Tall
Tub Capacity Design
The ASKO D3531XLFI dishwasher holds about 20% more than most others
without taking up more room in your kitchen. How? One way is by
eliminating the central water tower that dominates the inside of many
dishwashers. Another is their unique Flexi-Rack system - a feature that
gives you the option of adjusting or removing racks so you can easily
load large pots and pans. You get even more space in the D3531XLFI with
its tall tub design. And because the upper basket is unusually deep,
salad plates and tall ice tea glasses fit perfectly. There's even an
adjustable wine glass rack that secures your crystal stemware. It's a
design that accommodates 12 international place settings in a single
load, while many dishwashers barely hold 10. Beyond saving space, ASKO
racks also save work. To make loading and unloading easy, an ASKO
dishwasher offers unlimited options. Like upper and lower baskets that
slide out completely and hold up to 12" plates (lower) and 9.5" dishes
(upper). This model also includes a Safe & Handy™
Upper Cutlery Basket and features Adjustable Tines in both the upper
and lower baskets.
Cleaner
/ Dryer Dishes
When it comes to dishes, spots are never in vogue. The ASKO Super
Cleaning System engineered into the D3531XLFI dishwasher gives you
noticeably cleaner dishes with no hand rinsing. First, the pre-wash
removes most of the soil and drains it from the machine. Then the main
wash begins with fresh, hot water and removes the remaining soil. Their
triple filtration system refreshes water continuously - and completely
- so dishes are never washed with dirty water. And, while most other
dishwashers use the same pump to drain and circulate water, ASKO uses a
separate pump for each function so food particles aren't recirculated
and redeposited on dishes. But they don't stop there. You also get
sparkling results without hand-rinsing. To make sure you don't get a
single spot, their exclusive 8Spray™ System sprays in
multiple directions. Spray arms counter-rotate extra slowly to
concentrate water and detergent on tough soil and attack it from all
directions. Unlike most dishwashers, their direct-feed water tube
ensures the upper arm has the same power as the lower. All of which
cuts your detergent needs by two-thirds. With its high-efficiency
motor, the ASKO D3531XLFI is powerful enough to clean even the dirtiest
pots. But it also has the programming options to handle the most
delicate crystal or china. Not only does it wash better - it dries
better, too. In the condensation chamber, a fan blends the hot, humid
air inside with cool, dry air from outside. The condensed moisture
drains into the bottom of the tank. That means only cool, dry air is
vented back into your kitchen. More importantly, with the Turbo Fan
Interval Drying System you get 100% dry dishes so they can go directly
into your cabinet without towel-drying. In short, ASKO does more for
you than any other dishwasher. Who says supermodels don't work hard?
Exceptional
Features
The D3531XLFI has a hidden-control unit with push-button access to its
eight programs that include Auto Wash, Mixed, Heavy, Normal, Delicate,
Quick, Rinse & Hold and Rinse & Dry options. The new
LCD Control Panel allows you to select the wash program and options,
and choose a specific wash temperature. It also shows the eight program
names, time remaining, temperatures and options. The Auto Wash program
uses SensiClean™ and SensiDry™ to automatically
control washing and drying. It also conveniently remembers the last
program used. A Half Load option lets you wash in either the upper or
lower basket, while the Express feature shortens the program time. The
D3531XL also has a Turbo Fan Drying System, KidSafe™ and
KidLock™ safety features, an Adjustable Stemware Rack, 1/2 to
24-Hour Delay Start Option, Stainless Steel Tank, Anti-Jam and
Auto-Reversing Pump, Seven Wash Temperatures, Safe &
Handy™ Upper Cutlery Basket, Stainless Steel Filter and Spray
Arms, 12+ Place Setting Capacity and a Self-Cleaning Triple Filtration
System. A Rinse Aid Dispenser releases rinse aid during the final rinse
cycle to prevent water from forming droplets on your dishes. It also
improves drying by allowing water to sheet off the dishes. And an
End-of-Program Signal emits a tone when the wash cycle is complete. An
Interior Light eases loading and unloading by allowing you to see what
you're doing even in low kitchen lighting. This model is also a
Fully-Integrated design that can be installed with an optional
one-piece door panel (white, black or stainless steel) with matching
curved handle, or with you own custom one-piece door designed to match
your unique kitchen decor.
Superior
Quality
For over 30 years, ASKO has been building dishwashers using only the
highest quality components. Each dishwasher is individually tested, and
parts and service are available nationwide. You can count on ASKO
quality and environmental accountability here, too. Each unit uses as
little as 2.4 gallons of water per load - significantly less than most
other dishwashers - saving about 1,700 gallons annually. They meet
higher environmental standards and consume less electricity than any
other full-size dishwasher on the market. So while an ASKO may cost a
little more to buy, it costs much less to own. And when its long life
is through, more than 80% of its parts can be recycled.
Quiet
And Cost Effective
With the ASKO D3251XLFI, you'll never have to choose between washing
dishes and talking on the phone or watching TV. Because, while most
dishwashers mount pumps and motors directly to the tank which amplifies
noise, this model isolates them with rubber hoses between the tank and
galvanized steel base pan to reduce sound and vibration. Smooth,
gently-curved pipes minimize noise from water movement. Engineers also
covered each unit with sound-deadening bitumen (like that used in
luxury cars), and a heavy felt pad that absorbs 10 times more noise
than typical fiberglass insulation. In fact, 30% of the dishwasher's
weight is sound-absorbing material. The dishwasher uses only 3.4
gallons for a normal cycle (2.4 for a Quick Wash program) and yet it
produces sparkling clean dishes. That compares to 7-10 gallons used by
many competitors. That means you will be saving nearly $30 per year on
just water and sewage costs. Over the dishwasher's lifetime, that's
$600 that's still in your bank account. ASKO dishwashers use about half
the detergent. That means a box lasts twice as long. All in all, it's
cheaper than washing dishes by hand. Believe it or not, washing a load
in an ASKO is cheaper than doing them by hand. So, the next time the
wife says "Hey honey, why don't you quit watching that game and come
help me wash these dishes?" You can honestly say, "Sweetheart, it's
more economical to wash them in our ASKO. I'll gladly help you load
it." A win-win situation. Everybody saves money and you get points for
helping "do" the dishes. Oh, and you only miss a couple of minutes of
the game. And your ASKO is so quiet, you can run it and not miss a
single grunt or groan.
Built
To Last
The D3531XLFI dishwasher is built with a one-piece, galvanized steel
base pan that provides superior structural integrity and reduces
vibrations. The stainless steel tank, spray arms and filtration system
won't rust, chip or absorb odors. The controls are double-sealed from
moisture, and the door springs are designed to last 20 years. The upper
and lower baskets are coated with Viscant™ graphite nylon,
and the tines are double-coated and cushioned on top.
Energy
Star® Rated
ASKO is proud that all of their dishwashers have earned the Energy
Star® label. Energy Star® helps you easily identify

the Energy Star® label identifies highly-efficient products and
superior energy performance. The ASKO D3531XLFI is estimated to use
194kWh/Year, has an Energy Factor of 1.11, is 141% more efficient than
comparable models, and will save you an estimated $207.06 over the
unit's lifetime.
Helpful
Dishwashing Tips
Be careful not to load items so close to the dispenser that the cover
will not open to release the detergent. You should always use fresh
detergent because old or caked detergent will not dissolve properly and
will leave a gritty residue on dishware. Wait until you are ready to
start the dishwasher to add detergent. Use only unscented, granular
automatic dishwasher detergent since liquid detergent can cause
oversudsing and leakage. If the temperature of the water entering your
dishwasher is below 120 degrees F, the dishwasher will run longer since
it needs to heat the water to the proper temperature for your selected
program. Raising your water heater setting may help to shorten the
cycle time. Some high-acid foods can discolor plastic. You should rinse
these items if you do not plan to run the dishwasher right away.
Plastic items dry poorly and may need to be towel dried.
